Jane is just one of many people who died directly from Epilepsy in SUDEP circumstances.  On the left of this blog you will see a list of other people who have died in almost the same way. These links are ones of people who I have found by trawling the web.


If you wish to add the name of a loved one to this list because they also died in SUDEP circumstances then please email us at contact@forjane.co.uk, or alternatively if you are closely related to one of these people and want their name removed etc etc.

By the way, my criteria for adding a name to this list is that there must be at least one public web page clearly indicating that the death was SUDEP.   The list is covers all countries, though probably there are more reported in the UK than in other countries.  This is mostly because the UK has made several advances to help encourage coroners to define deaths as SUDEP related, where appropriate.  In other countries the picture is mixed, with a lot of possible SUDEP deaths being put down to other causes, including simply natural causes.
