Sudep & Twitter

Almost every family affected by SUDEP comes out of the experience saying they do not want anyone to go through the grief they are going through.  A primary tool to help stop others is to raise awareness of SUDEP. A great way to raise awareness of sudep over the Internet is to use twitter, or as it is sometimes referred to - the twitterverse.

To further that end & also help anyone interested in the SUDEP subject follow what is happening on twitter I have created a twitter list purely for SUDEP.  I am populating this list with twitterers who are

• charities active in this field
• family members who have become active to help raise awareness
• those fundraising for this cause

If you have never used twitter then perhaps now is the time to start!  Simply go to twitter.com, create an account under any name you want and start twittering.

The great advantage of twitter, over say facebook, is that twitter more easily reaches people you never knew before - and neither do your friends.  In contrast facebook is great at extending existing friendships and growing those out to further "friends" through friends of friends relationships.  So in terms of raising awareness, the twitter is a more valuable tool, imo, than facebook.  So sign up now.
